Legacy Fire’s ownership members have over 80 years of experience in the fire protection industry and are able to help you get your project moving. By being involved early in the pre-construction and design phase of your project, we can help evaluate the site and water supply requirements as well as understand the vital infrastructure of the fire and life safety system to avoid unforeseen costs. We also review existing facilities for retrofit installation or to verify that the existing fire sprinkler systems comply with the codes required for system upgrades or modifications.
All design is done in-house by our certified design professionals. We utilize the latest industry leading design software capable of 3-D coordination with all BIM software. The design staff specializes in all types of automatic fire sprinkler systems for all types of occupancies and hazards. From standard wet and dry type systems normally found in typical residential and commercial applications to Pre-action and ESFR systems found in high tech data centers and high piled storage applications. We have a NICET level IV on staff that stays up to date on all current requirements. By balancing protection objectives with design criteria, insurance analysis and budget requirements, our engineering and design team works with you to determine the best and most cost-effective design approach for your fire protection needs.

PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS are one of the best and most cost effective devices you can install for localized fire suppression. When used properly a portable fire extinguisher can extinguish a small fire or keep the fire contained until the fire department can respond. Always notify the fire department at the onset of a fire; don’t wait to see if the extinguisher can do the job.

SALES & INSTALLATION Whether you are in the process of a building a new project or moving into an existing facility, let our extinguisher specialist use their expertise to determine the best location & equipment for your extinguisher needs. Please contact us for property specific requirements or to have us complete a site survey. We also can handle all your extinguisher cabinet needs.
SERVICE AND INSPECTION We service and maintain all brands and types of portable fire extinguishers.
All fire extinguishers are required by NFPA 10 and local authorities to be inspected annually. Our service includes, emptying and internally inspecting the extinguisher, reassemble and recharge. O-rings and valve stems replaced on an as needed basis. Let one of our certified technicians ensure your extinguishers are up to code and standards with an onsite visit.
TRAINING We offer On-Site safety training classes the teach proper handling and use of portable fire extinguishers utilizing a “live fire” extinguishment experience. This allows the trainee to understand how to properly use the extinguisher as well as the knowledge of how the equipment operates giving the operator confidence if the need ever arises.
HOW: The P.A.S.S. METHOD is the industry standard or safe and proper operation of a portable held extinguisher.
PULL: Pull the pin that is on the handle
AIM: Aim the fire extinguisher nozzle or hose low and focus on the base fo the fire
SQUEEZE: Squeeze or press the handle
SWEEP: Sweep the extinguisher nozzle or hose from side to side at the base of the fire until you put out the fire. Closely monitor the area, if the fire re-ignites, begin the process again.
Keep in mind; the extinguisher has limited capacity. If the fire gains intensity or is burning out of control EVACUATE THE AREA IMMEDATELY and wait for the fire department to arrive.
TYPES: There are different types of extinguishers for specific exposures:
Backflow prevention devices are used to protect potable water supplies from contamination or pollution due to backflow. Backflow is a term for an unwanted flow of water in the reverse direction. Local jurisdictions require annual testing of all backflow devices to assure they are operating properly.
