Will Legacy Fire be my best option to provide for all my fire suppression needs?2019-11-20T01:28:55+00:00

Yes. We strive to use our experience to be the best at what we do for our customers. We take pride in our work and sincerely appreciate the relationships we have built and look forward to earning the opportunity to build a relationship with you.

Are fire sprinkler systems an effective form of fire protection?2019-11-20T01:29:05+00:00

Yes. Fire sprinkler systems are very effective and are currently the most widely used fire protection system used today. The benefits include minimized damage, customizable installation designs and most importantly – saves lives.

How often should I have my sprinkler system inspected?2019-11-20T01:29:02+00:00

The NFPA recommends that your fire sprinkler system be tested by professional fire protection technicians at least four times per year. Since only the sprinkler heads are visible in most rooms, the best way to ensure that your fire sprinkler system is ready to quickly and effectively respond to a fire emergency is through regular inspection.

Do fire sprinklers cause extensive damage?2020-12-29T18:14:49+00:00

It is a common misconception that fire sprinklers will cause more damage due to the water that comes out of the sprinkler heads once they are activated. While water is used to diffuse a fire, the main design of a fire sprinkler system is to use as little water as possible in as little of space as possible—controlling a fire in its early stages when less water is needed. Here is a video showing a test of sprinklered vs. not sprinklered: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=507gj_JWWSs

If there is a fire, do all the sprinklers in the entire system operate?2019-11-20T01:29:20+00:00

No. Unlike what you have seen in the movies, sprinklers activate independently when exposed to a heat source and will only activate if the head reaches the temperature required to activate it.

Is accidental activation of sprinklers a common occurrence?2019-11-20T01:29:10+00:00

No. Accidental activation of a sprinkler is very rare. The two most common accidental activations that we see are from the sprinkler being forcibly struck by an object, and using a sprinkler head to support objects from the ceiling.

Are there insurance premium discounts available with a professionally installed fire sprinkler system?2019-11-20T01:29:15+00:00

Yes. Depending on your situation and your insurance company, there may be premium discounts available.

Can smoke cause the sprinkler to activate?2019-11-20T01:55:06+00:00

No. Each sprinkler only operates when its fusible element is exposed to a heat source.
